Message of support from Mrs Murray 20.03.20
20 March 2020 (by Gillian Keighley (gkeighley))
Dear Parents and Carers, Mrs Murray has sent a letter by email this evening which outlines our commitment to work together as part of our local community, supporting children and their families and carers as much as we can. The following is an extract from the letter:
"We want to be able to open our doors again as soon as possible and this means stopping social contact.
Schools have been asked to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend. The fewer children making the journey to school, the fewer children in educational settings, the fewer children meeting up, the less chance the virus has of spreading and infecting vulnerable individuals in wider society.
I urge you in this very difficult time to do your bit to stick to these guidelines.
I want to make it clear that we are still here for all our families and although we will be working with a smaller team you can still contact us using the school email and phone – we might not always be available but we will try and support if we can. Remember we will have reduced staffing levels so I would ask you to check the information that we send out and information posted on the website before picking up the phone."
The full letter is also available on the Homepage of the school website.
Thank you again for your continued support.
