The School Governing Board
The School Governing Board plays an important role in supporting the leadership and development of our school. Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team, the governors help ensure that the school provides the best possible education and environment for every child.
Our main responsibility is to provide strategic direction for the school. This means helping to shape the school’s vision, values, and long-term goals while supporting continuous improvement. We also monitor the school’s performance and hold the leadership team accountable for maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil achievement.
The governing board oversees the school’s finances to ensure resources are used effectively and responsibly. In addition, we review and approve key policies and make sure the school meets its legal and safeguarding responsibilities.
While we do not manage the day-to-day running of the school, we work in partnership with school leaders to support the school’s continued success and to help create a positive, safe, and inspiring environment for all children. We also enjoy getting involved in the life of the school by attending open events and assemblies, and being actively involved in Sports Day and the Christmas Fayre.
Our board is made up of a range of members, including parents, staff, and individuals from the wider community. Together, we bring different skills, experiences, and perspectives that help us support the school and represent the interests of our pupils and families. If you would like more information or are thinking about wanting to be part of the Governing Board in the future, we would be pleased to hear from you.
We are proud to serve our school community and welcome the support and involvement of parents and carers.
