The Friends of Windmills School (FoWs) is a registered charity who organise a variety of fundraising events for our school community to enjoy. All parents are automatically members of FoWS.
We are a friendly committee of parents from all year groups; we have a yearly AGM and then meet on an ad-hoc basis to plan lots of different types of events throughout the year.
What we do
FoWS support the school in a variety of ways, including:

- Organising fundraising events throughout the year for children, parents and the whole family
- Helping to fund resources, equipment and enrichment opportunities
- Building connections between families and the school community
- Supporting school celebrations and special events
- Encouraging parent involvement in school life
Recent events have included the selling of ices after school (Frozen Fridays), school discos, quiz nights, baking competitions and the Christmas fair.
We have raised substantial funds to provide the school with a variety of items and equipment to support the curriculum. Recently the money raised has paid for sports equipment, library books, musical instruments and outdoor play equipment. FoWs also provided refreshments for our recent mini-marathon and volunteers have also helped with maintaining the school grounds.
Get involved
We are always delighted to welcome new members and volunteers. Whether you can help for an hour at an event, or would like to get more involved by organising events or sharing fundraising ideas, your support is greatly appreciated, there is no minimum commitment.
Every contribution, whether through volunteering time, attending events, or sharing ideas, helps to make a positive difference to our children.
