History
Our History curriculum is based around the following:
- Children will understand how key historical events have affected and influenced the world, leading to where we are now.
- Learning the concepts of Settlement, Democracy, Monarchy, Empire, and Wealth & Poverty will help children to understand how societies have evolved and how they have been ruled and shaped over time.
- Exploring some of the mysteries of the past to promote questioning and curiosity. Children will be inspired to think as historians, promoting a love of history.
- The learning progresses in a way that develops knowledge and deeper understanding of historical periods by researching human stories that can elicit a personal response.
