Design and Technology
Our DT curriculum is based around the following:
- We aim for Design and Technology to encourage children to learn to think and intervene creatively to solve problems both as individuals and as members of a team.
- Real life and relevant DT projects allow the children to create, innovate, and overcome problems as they arise developing a determination to persevere when initial ideas fail.
- Children are given opportunities to learn about designs in the real world, comparing historical and modern day innovations that lead to improvements both in aesthetics and functionality.
- To instil in our children an interest and curiosity for cooking through exploration of tastes, flavours, and smells from around the globe. Within this they will develop an understanding of the importance of a healthy varied and balanced diet.
