We currently have vacancies for parent governors. Parents are invited to stand for election as a parent governor, or to nominate another parent to do so if you believe that they have the skill set and have asked their permission.
Governors work with school leaders to promote and uphold the vision and aims of the school to ensure the best outcomes for all children are achieved. They play a supportive and challenging role – like an executive board. The strategic plan of the school is shared with governors and the leadership team supply evidence of how this work is being achieved and impacts positively. Governors are volunteers and give their time for free. Being a governor can be very rewarding and will provide you with the opportunity to work as part of a team and contribute actively to the community.
We welcome applications from everyone and the most important thing is to have a keen interest in the school and to be prepared to play an active part in the governing board’s work. No special qualifications are needed.
There is lots of information about being a school governor in the documents below.
Nomination forms must be sent to: firstname.lastname@example.org . Please include a completed Disqualification Declaration Form with your nomination. The closing date for nominations is 3.00pm Friday 25th November 2022.
